Qudsia Javid
Project Co-Manager. Qudsia Javid is a senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biomedical Signals and Systems at George Mason University. Her technical interests include Bioinformatics and Data Analytics Engineering. After graduation, her immediate plan is to work for a company that will enhance her programming and data analytical skills. She then hopes to gradually work towards obtaining her masters in Data Analytics Engineering in the near future. Qudsia’s overarching goal for the future is to apply her medical knowledge and technical experience in advancing healthcare technology. She believes that technological advancement in the medical field can improve the quality of life for people by increasing life expectancy. Currently, she is participating in the robotics division for her team’s project.
David Le
Project Leader. David Le is currently a Senior at George Mason University studying bioengineering. He works in the Biomedical Imaging lab as an undergraduate researcher through URSP and hopes to pursue a doctorate after graduation. For the design team, he works primarily in the image processing division.
Ahmad Mia
Ahmad is a senior majoring in bioengineering at George Mason University. He has been living in the NOVA area for his entire life and plans to find employment within the bioengineering field upon graduation. He is currently a member of the robotics division of his team.
Dora Obodo
Project Co-manager. Dora Obodo is a Senior studying Bioengineering at George Mason. Her fields of interest are Nanotechnology, chemistry, and material science. Currently, Dora works in the lab of Nanotechnology where she aids in the synthesis, characterization, and analysis of novel patchy polymeric nanoparticles and their applications as a dual therapeutic and imaging modality for cancer theranostics. She hopes to one day attend pharmacy school and combine all of her knowledge to help develop the biomedical industry in her home country of Ghana and all of West Africa. In her free time, Dora likes to volunteer her time in advocating for victims of HIV/AIDS and helping to reduce stigma around this issue in the DC Metro Area. She is also an avid reader; her favorite authors include J.K. Rowling, James Baldwin, and Toni Morrison. In the project, she is currently a member of the imaging division for her team.
